School of Nursing Courses On completion of the course the nurse is enabled to:
- show core competancies in providing health care to individuals using the nursing process.
- plan and carry out appropriate action to meet nursing needs.
- sustain effective nursing care for the promotion of the best possible level of health in the patient.
- assess effectiveness of nursing care.
- apply knowledge from the biological and behaviourial sciences in the practice of nursing care.
- function effectively with members of health teams and community services nationally or internationally, applying the knowledge of human relations and communication skills in his/her work.
- to contribute to society as a responsible citizen and efficient nursing care giver.
- to use his/her education as a base for further professional and educational advancement.
- keep pace with the latest professional and technological development in medicare.
- demonstrate basic skills in administration and leadership whether in a hospital set up, community programmer or a health team.
